This isn't a typical "About" page.
It's a multi-chapter story, the real one, told in full, the way it actually happened. Read it start to finish like a documentary, or jump to the part that speaks to you.
PART ONE — The Beginning
A locked toy cabinet, $500, and a country that didn't feel like home yet. Before the LEGO® room and the community of thousands, there was a kid who wasn't allowed to play, and a young man starting over with almost nothing.
A Childhood Without Toys
I grew up in a traditional Asian family where education always came first. Every weekend, my parents would unlock the cabinet where my toys were kept. I was allowed to play for part of Saturday and sometimes half of Sunday. When the weekend was over, every toy went back into the cabinet, locked again until the following weekend.
As a child, I didn't understand why. But as I grew older, I began to understand those memories differently. My parents weren't trying to take my childhood away from me. They were sacrificing their own happiness because they wanted to give me a future they believed would be better than the one they had.
Leaving Home
More than ten years ago, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life. I left everything familiar behind and moved to Canada with only about $500 in my pocket. I wasn't chasing an easy life. I was chasing an opportunity.
There were moments when I questioned whether I had made the right decision. I experienced loneliness, bullying, racism, and some very difficult periods in my life. But I kept going, one day at a time. And somewhere along that journey, LEGO® came back into my life.
PART TWO — Finding LEGO®
Not a hobby. A way back. This is the part where bricks became therapy, boxes became milestones, and a quiet collection turned into a name thousands of people now recognize: Mr. TBricker™.
The Brick That Changed Everything
People often ask me how I became a LEGO® collector, and the truth is, I never planned to become one. LEGO® found me at a time when I needed it most. After long days at work, building LEGO® became my escape.
Every completed set reminded me that something complicated can be broken down into small steps. You don't build something amazing in one moment. You build it piece by piece, brick by brick. That idea became a metaphor for my own life.
Every Set Has a Story
As my career grew, my LEGO® collection grew with it. Some sets were purchased after promotions or career achievements. Some represented a difficult year that I had finally made it through. Over time, every box became connected to a memory. One shelf became two. Two shelves became an entire room. My LEGO® collection had become a physical timeline of my life.
Becoming Mr. TBricker™
Eventually, I decided to share that world with other people. I created social media accounts under the name Mr. TBricker™. Through YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and livestreams, I met collectors from all over the world.
Over time, I realized that Mr. TBricker™ wasn't just about showing off a collection. It was about creating a place where people who love LEGO® could come together, share their passion, and find a little bit of happiness and escape in the hobby just as I had.
PART THREE — Behind the Scenes
A 9-to-5 by day, building the dream by night, and a flooded basement that changed everything. The part nobody sees in the videos: the late nights, the DMs, the stress, and the moment it all became too much to keep going the same way.
Behind the Camera
What most people see online is only a small part of the story. I still work a full-time job during the day. When I come home, I often spend my evenings filming videos, answering messages, editing content, working on my website, and organizing my collection.
Then, in January 2026, my basement flooded. Some of my LEGO® boxes were damaged, and I spent days cleaning, drying carpets, and trying to protect the collection I had spent years building. It made me stop and think about my life. Maybe it was finally time to start building something else.
PART FOUR — The Next Chapter
Why one of the world's most personal LEGO® collections is being sold, one set at a time. Not clickbait, not a gimmick, just the real, honest reason, and what I'm building next.
The Hardest Decision
That realization eventually brought me to one of the hardest decisions I have ever made: selling my LEGO® collection. These aren't just boxes to me. They are memories, milestones, achievements, and pieces of my life. But life has taught me that sometimes moving forward means letting go of something you deeply love.
Why I'm Letting Go
The reason I'm selling my collection isn't because I stopped loving LEGO®. I haven't. The reason is much more personal: my family. My parents are getting older, and they sacrificed so much so that I could have opportunities they never had. Now it's my turn to give something back.
One of my biggest dreams is to own a home where my parents can stay comfortably whenever they visit Canada. I know I can rebuild a LEGO® collection one day. But I cannot rebuild lost time with my family.
Passing It Forward
So now, as I prepare to sell these sets and send them to new homes, I try not to think of it as simply selling LEGO®. I think of it as passing part of my journey forward. My hope is that these sets find people who will appreciate them, build them, display them, and create their own memories with them.
"I can rebuild another LEGO® collection someday. But I can't rebuild the time I have left with my parents."
This isn't the end of Mr. TBricker™. It's simply the beginning of the next chapter. And just like everything else I've built in my life, I'll build it one brick at a time.
